Michael Jeffery Jordan, who is often called by his initials MJ, is a professional former American basketball player. He played for 15 seasons in the National Basketball Association for Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls. A major portion of the masses consider him as the greatest National Basketball Association Player of all times.

Esports is reunifying the Dream Team. The multi-regional professional Esports organization, Team Liquid’s parent company, made an announcement this Thursday in which it has proudly stated that it raised a large sum of $26 million in the funding round of  series C .

Two new investors have joined the ownership group: Michael Jordan, the legendary NBA player and David Mark Rubanstein, an American financial and philanthropist, who is best known as the co-founder and co-executive chairman of the private equity firm, Carlyle Group.

He has a net worth of $2.8 billion, is investing into aXiomatic, through his family office.

Michael Jordan has a net worth of $1.7 billion and this is the very first investment in the field of esports industry. Jordan has his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets which is a franchise worth $1.05 billion.

The aXiomatic, an entertainment and sports management company, technically is still a start-up as it was founded in 2015, but its investment in Team Liquid has fast-tracked its growth to a great extent. The company picked up a stake in Team Liquid, the third most valuable Esports in the world in 2016.

aXiomatic’s raise is presently the third major Esports investment which has been announced, after Cloud 9 raising $50 million in the end of the series B round and Drake becoming the co-owner of 100 Thieves through the series A round.

Team Liquid is led by Steve Arhancet and Victor Goassens.
