You can imagine all sorts of characters when it comes to dressing up for Halloween. But this little fan surprised everyone amidst superheroes and princesses costumes.
A three year old fan of Michelle Obama decided to dress up like her for a dance party. Parker Curry was photographed last year with the portrait of the former first lady at the National Portrait Gallery. She was caught gazing at her. The little girl chose to dress up just like her.
The picture of the girl got the attention of Michelle Obama herself. The former first lady said that the little girl nailed the look.
Parker’s mother, Jessica Curry, said that on being asked whom she wanted to dress up like on Halloween, her daughter immediately took the name of Michelle Obama. She added that the little girl talks about Michelle Obama each day. She is happy to tell everyone that she is friends with Michelle Obama and she met her.
No wonder why the girl couldn’t think of anyone else. Curry got the dress of the little girl designed by Alisha Welsh of Magnolia Lake Children’s Clothing. Parker wanted the exact custom costume from Michelle Obama’s portrait that she got clicked with. Welsh did a great job and created a mini and stylish version of the iconic dress.
Michelle Obama tweeted,
Parker, I’m so glad I had the chance to meet you today (and for the dance party)! Keep on dreaming big for yourself…and maybe one day I’ll proudly look up at a portrait of you!
Ben Hines posted the picture of the little girl staring at the portrait of Michelle Obama, after which she became famous. She met Obama for a Taylor Swift dance party after the viral picture.
