Microsoft Edge is going to be updated and delivered for all of the supported versions of Microsoft Windows Operating System, and this will frequently be happening. Microsoft has also said that this is going to enable them to be Microsoft Edge to different other platforms such as MacOS.
The news that has been revealed is an integral part of the larger announcement of the tech giant which revealed that Microsoft Edge is going to rebuild and will be based on the rendering engine of the open source Chromium. Google Chrome uses the same engine. The tech giant, Microsoft has also revealed that it is expecting to build a preview of the Edge browser based on Chromium.
The new Edge browser will be ready for a release in early 2019 for its users and will be up for a trail run. It is still unclear as to if the new Edge browser upon its release will be limited to the window platform and it will feature in the MacOS at the same time.
Back in 2015, Edge surpassed the Internet Explorer as the default browser of Microsoft in the year 2015, and a new mobile version of the browser was later released for Android OS as well as for iOS.
