Who is Mike Tyson’s Daughter Rayna Tyson?
Rayna Tyson, or Ramsey Tyson was born on February 14, 1996. Their father is former boxing champion- Mike Tyson and their mother is Monica Turner. Turner was Tyson’s second wife, and the couple had tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 1997. As a non-binary individual, Ramsey chooses to go by the pronouns they/them. Ramsey is an elder sister to Amir who was born a year later on August 5, 1997.
Ramsey made the announcement about their identity in an interview with THEM in November 2020.
“I’m a nonbinary person who’s socially transitioned amongst my friends and started a medical transition.”
In January 2002, Turner sought a divorce from Mike, claiming he had been unfaithful and wasteful with money. She now leads a private life and is a pediatric resident at the Georgetown University Medical Centre. She is also the Chief Operating Officer of Debonair Attire, the apparel company she established with her son.
Ramsey Tyson’s Personal Life & Career
Ramsey Tyson, formerly known as Rayna Tyson, was known to be in a relationship with a female in 2022. However, the 26-year-old keeps her private life low-key and not much is known about their current relationship status.
In 2014, Ramsey joined NYU’s Tisch School of Arts and completed their graduation in 2018. The school is a well-respected film institute with notable alums such as Lady Gaga, Adam Sandler, Alec Baldwin, Martin Scorsese, etc.
Ramsey’s post-academic career included interning as a researcher for the documentary The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson which re-examined the dubious passing of the LGBTQ+ icon in 1992, causing demonstrations to erupt among the homosexual community.
Later, they served as a staff assistant in the production of the Academy Award-winning movie Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix as the notorious character from the Batman series.
Ramsey has always been vocal about trans rights and transphobia. They also confronted rapper Boosie Badazz on their father’s Hotboxin’ podcast and spoke at length about gender inclusivity.
“I ended up having to explain to him, even, that sexuality and gender are two different things, and he was blown away by that. He and his friends were like, ‘I never heard that before.’ And then I was like, ‘Oh, got it.’ He really has no idea what he was saying.”
Their father, Mike Tyson has also embraced Ramsey’s transition and the father-daughter duo shares a cordial relationship.
