Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s children may have been born into wealth, but their parents are doing everything they can to keep them from becoming spoiled.
By following a set of rules and guidelines, the parents teach their children to always be respectful and humble. This means that there will be no trust funds and, even more controversially, no Christmas gifts.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher would rather give money to charity than give their kids a lot of material things.
In 2017, Kunis said that she doesn’t follow the tradition of giving gifts to her kids, Wyatt and Dimitri, on Christmas.
Later that same year, the star of “Bad Moms” made it clear that she doesn’t mind giving her kids gifts; she just doesn’t want them to get too used to getting them.
I give them presents, I’m not like anti-gifts,” Kunis said. “It’s just that they get so many wonderful gifts from my family and my husband’s family, that he and I literally give them one present.
She has also said that she and her husband plan to teach their children to be kind and humble. As a direct result of this, they started the tradition of only giving one gift a year and giving the rest of their money to different charities.
We’ve told our parents, ‘We’re begging you — if you have to give her something, pick one gift,
Kunis said.
Otherwise, we’d like to take a charitable donation, to the Children’s Hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want.’ That’s our new tradition.
Ashton Kutcher has said that he has no plans to leave his children any money when he dies.
Ashton Kutcher talked about his kids and how he won’t leave them any money in his will on an episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast, “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard,” from 2018. This is what Kutcher said:
I’m not setting up a trust for them. We’ll end up giving our money away to charity and to various things,
he said.
Kutcher said in an interview that he wants his kids to be independent adults when they grow up. Besides that, he takes his kids camping so they can learn how to take care of themselves in the great outdoors.
I want them to be really resourceful,
he said.
Hopefully they’ll be motivated to have what they had, or some version of what they had.
He wants his kids to be so independent that they can support themselves financially when they are old enough.
Even though this is the case, Kutcher has made it clear that he is more than willing to help his kids in any way he can when they are in trouble.
If my kids want to start a business, and they have a good business plan, I’ll invest in it,
he said.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher both grew up in families that are considered to be lower middle class. This means that they know firsthand about the problems that people face every day.
Kutcher said in an interview that he had problems with his family when he was growing up because his parents got a divorce when he was a young child and he didn’t have a father figure in his life.
I don’t have a male figure that I know and look up to that took on this role,
he said.
I’m inventing the role as I go.
The couple knows that being famous gives them some advantages, but all they want is to give their children the best possible upbringing and teach them to be kind and respectful people.
