The psychological drama that took viewers by the storm almost 2 years ago is set for Mindhunter season 2 release this year, and fans cannot stop their excitement. Although Netflix has made no official comment on the premiere date, one of the show actors may just have leaked a tiny hint.
Leaked Mindhunter season 2 details on reddit
The Mindhunter Season 2 leak was shared on Reddit by user u/SpiciestRamen, who posted a screenshot of his conversation on Instagram with Holt McCallany, who played Bill Tench on the show.

In the screenshot, SpiciestRamen asks McCallany for a release date, saying he is “dying”. The actor responds by saying that the second season won’t be released “until fall of 2019”.
Netflix has released a statement to Inverse, saying the leak is “inaccurate”, and the release dates for Mindhunter season 2 have not yet been revealed.
There is a very real possibility that the screenshot has been photoshopped, and the entire conversation is faked. But redditors who examined the screengrab have pointed out its authenticity.
Since the season 1 of the mind-bending show was released on October 13 in 2017, it would not be far-fetched to assume that the upcoming season, Mindhunter season 2, will be released in fall. If that is the case, it will be a two-year gap between the seasons, long for the streaming platform.
Speculations suggest that the large gap may be because of Fincher’s immaculate editing process.
If he does as good a job of the 2nd season as he did of the 1st, we don’t mind the wait.
