Minneapolis and St. Paul, the twin cities were hit by a snowstorm on Sunday. This snowstorm has severely affected the twin cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul.
As per the prediction, an eventful winter weather week will be in work over Minneapolis and St. Paul. This will impact Minneapolis and St. Paul through Monday.

With itself, the snowfall has brought forth several inches (about 8-12”) of snow which are made the area across Minneapolis and St. Paul slippery. This slipperiness across the twin cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul has made commuting a real task for its citizens.

There have been reports of several crashes by the state Department of Transportation along with spin-outs. This has been across the metro in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The State Patrol officials have even advised the citizens of Minneapolis and St. Paul to drive slowly by giving them extra time. They have even advised the Minneapolis and St. Paul citizens to elevate the distance because of the icy conditions.
Minneapolis and St. Paul Snowstorm: Schools closed
Because of the conditions prevailing in Minneapolis and St. Paul, the St. Paul Public Schools along with several other districts have cancelled their classes.
There has been an issuing of notice by the National Weather Service officials. The citizens of Minneapolis and St. Paul are advised to stay put in the notice until the conditions of snowstorm stabilize.

On the official Twitter handle, National Weather Service officials of Minneapolis and St. Paul have tweeted:
“Please avoid travel if possible. Heavy snow and strong wind expected.”
The Minnesota State Patrol have reported 134 crashes across the twin cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, as of 10 am. Out of these, 10 cases involve injuries but fortunately none of them have been fatal.
These 10 injuries at Minneapolis and St. Paul have even not imposed any serious injuries upon the victims.
Minneapolis and St. Paul Snowstorm: Delay and Cancellation of Flights
That’s not all. There have been delays and cancellation of flights to and from Minneapolis and St. Paul. According to the report by Fox9, about two dozen flights have been delayed and more or less the same number has been cancelled.
This has added to the trouble for the citizens of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The snowstorm is bound to affect the flights of tomorrow as well which entirely depends upon how much snow is on the tarmac.
Minneapolis and St. Paul Snowstorm: Emergency declared
Several cities in and around metro have declared snow emergencies. These include Red Wing, Brooklyn Center, Crystal, as well as Bloomington and Montevideo.
There is also an issuing of winter parking advisories around the twin cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul from Sunday night to Monday.
