Why would the Lakers like to sign Monte Morris?
The Lakers would fancy having Morris’ playmaking services. They could not give enough game time to Vanderbilt, and his struggles at shooting pushed him further from the Lakers’ plans. Throwing in another player along with Vanderbilt might bring them a quality player and they would be happy doing so.
