The Detroit Pistons’ guard Monte Morris might get traded to the Los Angeles Lakers this summer. The Lakers are built around LeBron James and Anthony Davis as of now, and they are not likely to make huge changes until James retires. But they might still make some changes in their roster.
The Pistons are building their squad as of now, they have plenty of youngsters, and they might go ahead with landing more of those. Monte Morris played a total of 62 games for the Pistons last season and averaged 10.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game. The Lakers seem interested in him. Will the Pistons send him away for two young bloods? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers involving Monte Morris.
What would the Lakers offer for Monte Morris?
The Lakers are expected to offer Jarred Vanderbilt and Jalen Hood-Schifino in exchange for Monte Morris. The Lakers might not be making huge changes as of now, but they are surely keeping an eye on all the possible situations they might be in when James retires. They probably are making these small changes for the future itself. The Bucks know that they will be back to winning ways in a while and that is why they are trying to fill themselves up with all the talent they can afford.

Why would the Pistons trade-off Monte Morris?
Morris is the best player in the deal, but the Pistons would happily do this deal since they are targeting young players. They might reconsider the deal if things do not go their way, and they have plenty of time to do so since the deal can not go through until close to the deadline.

Why would the Lakers like to sign Monte Morris?
The Lakers would fancy having Morris’ playmaking services. They could not give enough game time to Vanderbilt, and his struggles at shooting pushed him further from the Lakers’ plans. Throwing in another player along with Vanderbilt might bring them a quality player and they would be happy doing so.
The Lakers are centered around LeBron as of now, but this trade is probably being considered for the future. Will the Lakers and the Pistons do it? We’ll keep you updated.
