Early Life & Education
Morfydd Clark was born in Sweden on March 17, 1989, and relocated to Penarth, Wales, at the age of two along with her family. She referred to her dad as a “Glaswegian from Northern Ireland”.
She has North Welsh ancestry from her mother’s side. While her parents communicated in English, her maternal grandparents were Welsh speakers, resulting in her enrollment in a Welsh medium school. She is fluent in both English and Welsh. Her initial experience with acting was portraying Mrs. Dai Bread in a school rendition of Under Milk Wood.
Due to facing challenges with dyslexia and ADHD, she dropped out of school at the age of sixteen. However, she eventually obtained her A Levels in English and mathematics from Kings Monkton School in Cardiff.
In 2009, she was selected to participate in the British Youth Music Theatre’s show “According to Brian Haw” and also joined the National Youth Theatre of Wales. She then went on to receive training at the Drama Centre London.

In her last semester, Morfydd Clark left the Drama Centre to take on the lead role of Blodeuwedd in Saunders Lewis’s play with Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru.
She also graced the stage in productions such as Violence and Son at the Royal Court, Romeo and Juliet at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, and Les Liaisons Dangereuses at the Donmar Warehouse.
