Moto G7, the much-awaited Motorola G series is all set to step into the markets. When it comes to the king of the budget smartphones, no one can beat the Moto G Series of Motorola. Since 2013, the series has shown significant improvement.
Moving from interchangeable colorful rear shells plastic device to premium glass and aluminium devices, they have managed to retain the great price tags.
The Moto G6 series offers mainly two standard models including a Play model and a Plus model. The G7 range is set to offer four models and the G7 Power model will also be included in the list. Here’s all that you need to know about Moto G7 models.
Moto G7 : Price and Release Date
The Motorola Moto G7 prices are set to release at an event on 7 February in Brazil. It is earlier than it was expected as the Moto G6 series was launched during April end in the previous year.
When it comes to price, it will definitely be higher than the Moto G6 series which is estimated to be around £219. The Moto G6 series price ranged from £169-269. So the Moto G7 models are expected to cost between £170-300.
According to the rumours, the Moto G7 Play is likely to cost €149 and the Moto G7 Power around €209. Also, the models may not be available in all regions.
Moto G7 : Display and Design
On Leaks and My Smart Price created some renders some time back which showed the Motorola Moto G7. The renders showed a device with a water drop notch at the top of the display, just like OnePlus 6T.
The display is having a small bezel all around and is slightly larger than the earlier version.
The rear side of the phone has a dual rear camera and flash with a circular “M” branded fingerprint sensor is located just below it.
Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power
Leaked images of the Moto G7 series were also shown on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). It is likely that the G7 Play will have only a small notch and not a water drop notch, quite similar to Google Pixel 3 XL.
The right side of the device will have the power and volume buttons, while the micro SD and SIM slots will be located on the left.
Moto G7 : Software and Hardware
How To Tech Naija spec sheet leak claimed that the Moto G7 would feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. The device is carrying a 64-GB internal with a 4-GB RAM. However, as per other reports, the G7 Plus would offer these specs, while the G7 will offer similar specs with Snapdragon 632 chip.
Meanwhile, my Smart Price claims that both Moto G7 Plus and Moto G7 will have the Snapdragon 660 chipset. According to How To Tech Naija, the Moto G7 will have a storage expansion of up to 256 GB. It also said that the Moto G7 will have a 3500mAh battery. While other reports suggest that it would be supported by a 3000mAh battery.
It further claims that the Moto G7 Plus and Moto G7 will support Android Pie 9.0. The G7 series could be among the first of the devices with an update of a new build of Google’s software.
Moto G7 : Camera
How To Tech Naija leaks regarding Moto G7 also has details about the camera specification. The G7 is to have a 12-megapixel front with a 16 and 5-megapixel for the dual camera set up at the back.
As per recent reports, the models will have a 12-megapixel front camera coupled with a dual rear camera of 12 and 5 megapixels. This is similar to the resolution of the Moto G6 series.
