The following Motorola Z-series smartphones are confirmed to get the Android 9.0 OS update in the months to follow:

- Motorola’s X-series smartphone, the Moto X4 would also be getting the Android Pie OS update.

The Moto G devices have been around for quite a long time and are among some of the most popular smartphones. These devices are popular because they offer the best of features at a budget price-point.

Would Other Motorola Smartphones Get the Android Pie Update?
As of now, these are the only names that Motorola has confirmed to be getting the Android Pie Update. However, it is likely that other (recently released) smartphones such as the Motorola One smartphones would also get this OS update.
Moreover, older premium devices such as the previous generations of Moto Z smartphones might also get this update.
However, Motorola is yet to confirm this as well. Even when it comes to the phones that the company has named, no time-frame for the Android Pie update has been specified.
