Back in the 2000s, Motorola ruled the Mobile world, with the sharpest, slimmest, and the edgiest flip phone Moto Razr. It stayed dominant globally until the breakthrough of Apple iPhones and Google’s Android-Powered Smartphones which changed the game entirely.

Motorola was not able to fight the battle of Smartphone with a simple Mobile, it was brought by Google and stripped from most of its Innovative Patents. Lenovo overtook what was remaining, and Motorola was left with scraps and older designs. But recently it seems that Motorola is bringing out its classic weapon, the Razr design to establish a new era of foldable Smartphones.
Motorola Razr 2019: What we know so far?
Recent press renders of the foldable Motorola Razr V4 were leaked and we had our first look at the new Motorola device. Unlike the Normal Foldable Smartphones which are release nowadays, the phone won’t open up into a tablet.
The revived Razr phone from Lenovo will have a vertical fold instead of a horizontal one, bringing back the nostalgic feeling of pocket flip-phone design, with a full screen and no keypad attached, also while having a smaller, external display.
The Wall Street Journal in January reported that Lenovo owned Motorola brand would launch the new Razr earlier this year which didn’t happen. Surprisingly, Motorola execs revealed that the company is planning to launch a foldable phone this summer.

While there is no fixed Release date, it is speculated that Motorola Razr V4 could be launched around the end of this Summer with a price of $999, which is a bit higher but nothing compared to other foldable phones.
Could it be the ideal Foldable Smartphone?
Motorola Razr V4 is the most unique Foldable phone out there, while other manufacturers are trying to fit a tablet into your pocket, which actually no one requires. Motorola has tried to the simplest thing, which makes a Smartphone less bulky, more compact, a phone which just folds to fit in our pockets.
While the small external display is a cherry on top, we could check notifications, reply to texts, attend calls, it has brought the olden days back. Samsung and Huawei have lined up their own fold devices, which are reportedly getting troubling reviews.
Maybe Motorola Razr V4 is the perfect folding Smartphone we need right now. Stay tuned to Hiptoro for more Motorola Updates and other news.
