My Hero Academia season 4 fans may not like the latest news as revealed by the latest sources. Since it first aired in 2016, the show has had a consistent record of releasing a new season in April.
Fans were expecting something similar this year, but the showrunners have revealed that the Anime series will return for its fourth installment in fall of 2019.
My Hero Academia release tradition broken
My Hero Academia showrunners confirmed in December of 2018 that the next season will not be released until October this year, which came to fans as a shock because all the previous seasons had a release date set in the first week of April. The first season released on April 3, 2016, the second on April 1, 2017, and the third on April 7, 2018.
Mob Psycho 100 the reason?
Rumors have suggested that the delay in the release of the beloved show may be because of another popular Manga series. My Hero Academia is produced by the Japanese animation studio called Bones, which has several anime projects planned for 2019 including the second season of Mob Psycho 100.

Besides these two shows, the company is also working on an original series called Carol and Tuesday. The third season of Bungo Stray Dogs was also set to be released this month. Both the shows aired in Japan on April 10 and April 12, respectively.
This information has led to to the conclusion that the studio delayed the production of My Hero Academia season 4 to give priority to the other shows.
But for now, these are just speculations. All fans can do is wait for a specific release date of the My Hero Academia season 4 to be announced.
