Team Giannis and Team LeBron are all pumped up for the NBA All-Star Game 2019. The game will be live on 17th February.
The Western Conference Starters will be lead by LeBron James and have Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant from The Warriors, James Harden from The Rockets and Paul George from The Thunder.
The Eastern Conference Starters will be lead by Giannis Antetokounmpo and comprises of Joey Embiid of the 76ers, Kawhi Leonard of Raptors, Kyrie Irving from The Celtics and Kemba Walker from The Hornets.
The players are selected by voting in which 50% votes is from the fans, while the rest 50% are from NBA players and media influencers.
And these results brought in a lot of chaos among the media. Alex Kennedy and Frank Urbina of HoopsHype Podcast did an analysis of the starters selection and also gave out guesses on who could be the reserves from each of the conferences.
Predictions On Reserves of NBA All Star Game 2019
Bradley Beal and Anthony Davis were players and media favorites but they it seems that they weren’t that popular among the fans. On the other hand, Paul George was fan favorite but didn’t get much support from the players and media.
The analysts explained how All-Star provides a platform for a lot of young and energetic players. It’s a stage where players get a lot of exposure and a lot of money.
Their podcasts continued as they tried to predict who could be the reserves. Luka Doncic and Derrick Rose had a good season and were fan favorites, but still, they missed out on starters. There’s a fair bit of chance that the coaches might consider keeping one of them in reserve. Same might be the case with Dwayne Wade. The coaches might select him as a “lifetime-achievement pick.”
Both Kennedy and Urbina predict that the Western and Eastern Conference will be releasing their list of reserves on 31st January. Let’s wait and watch. Stay tuned on Hiptoro for further updates.
