Billy Donovan’s trade might happen soon. This is because the Chicago Bulls’ players do not like Donovan’s offense. Here’s why!
Chicago Bulls Players Hold Meeting After Loss, Call for Change to Offense
The Chicago Bulls organized a players-only meeting after the team lost against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The head coach of the Bulls’ Billy Donovan, revealed this news.
The Chicago lost against Thunder by 20 points, which raised the tensions in the postgame locker room, as per the sources.
Donovan said:
“I’m not going to sit there and say that it was bad, like people were tearing up the locker room”
“It was nothing like that. They were in there talking. I walked in and they said, ‘Hey, Coach, can we talk?’ I said sure and I left.’
Billy Donovan left OKC cause he ain’t wanna go thru a rebuild and they already better than the bulls lol

The head coach continued to add:
“There’s nothing personal about any of this stuff. These guys do care, and they want to be better, but they know there’s habits they’ve got to change, and they’ve got to break. And they’re talking about trying to do that collective as a group.”
According to the source, the Bulls’ players do not have any issues with Billy, but they do not like his offensive strategies. The Bulls had the same offense strategies against the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the players were told that they would have a different offense strategy this season.
Vucevic’s Disappointment with the Bulls
The Bulls center, Nikola Vucevic, is not happy. Vucevic had a heated argument with Donovan Mitchell on the court. He doesn’t get many opportunities on the court, as he doesn’t get the ball in the post.
Apart from DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, the Bulls have signed Vucevic as their 3rd offensive wing. Against the Thunder, Nikola only attempted a total of 8 shorts and finished the game with a total of 11 points and 9 rebounds.
Chicago Bulls Not Firing Coach Billy Donovan Despite Disappointing Start
The Bulls have appointed Billy Donovan as their head coach for the offensive wing, and they do not have any plans to fire him. However, if the Bulls continue to play like this, some players, including LaVine and Vucevic, will be traded before the NBA 2024-25 Season kicks off.
