DeMar DeRozan’s contract with the Chicago Bulls is coming to an end. As per the NBA Insider News, the 6-time All-Star could be on the trading block for the 2024-25 Season.
Will the Bulls Hold onto Star Player DeMar DeRozan or Opt for a Major Roster Shake-Up?
DeMar DeRozan is in the final year of his contract with the Bulls. There are several trade rumors that surround the 6-time All-Star plater. The Bulls are considering reshaping their roster by making major changes, and as a result, they could trade DeRozan this offseason. If the Bulls don’t extend DeRozan’s contract, there are many teams that could acquire the star player from the Bulls.
Last season, the Bulls couldn’t agree on an extension with DeRozan. If the same happens this year, DeMar will be traded to another team.
Brian Windhorst of ESPN said that:
“One guy to keep an eye on for everybody — the whole league — this year is DeMar DeRozan.”
“If he doesn’t extend with the Bulls, I think he becomes a trade target as the season goes along.”

DeMar DeRozan’s Steller Stats
DeMar DeRozan has played a total of 74 games for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA 2022-23 Season, where he averaged around 24.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.
DeRozan scored around 50.4% of the shots from the floor and 87.2% of the shots from the free throw line. While DeRozan is not at the peak of his career, he was one of the best players in the league last year.
He ranked 13th when it comes to highest-scoring points and 17th for highest points in every regular season game.
While DeRozan is a highly skilled player, his performance didn’t add much to the Bulls’ success in the previous season. The franchise won only 40 regular season games and couldn’t qualify for the playoffs last year.
