The Magic are known for their brilliant young guards, but Suggs hasn’t been up to the mark for them. The deal gives them a draft pick, too, along with Thaddeus Young. Thaddeus might not be at his best, but his defensive abilities would surely come in handy for the Magics. The deal seems perfect for the Magics in every sense possible.

Why would the Raptors like to sign Jalen Suggs?
One of the major reasons for the trade is the departure of Fred VanVleet. Apart from that, no matter how Suggs has performed, he will be a great asset for the Raptors. He will be mentored by Scottie Barnes and can be the future star for them. Even though the Raptors are losing out on their draft pick and Suggs doesn’t have a good history.
