Kawhi Leonard was the main reason why the team of the Toronto Raptors won their first-ever NBA title. While they were hoping to repeat the same in the next year, Leonard moved on to another team. At the last day of free agency, Leonard signed a deal with LA Clippers which changed the entire NBA power rankings.
The Raptors are once again very far behind in the race and the Clippers are at the top position of NBA 2020 finals. Even names such as Danny Green have also left Toronto, which kind of makes it worse. But the Raptors are still confident in themselves as their head coach Nick Nurse have faith in his team. New Players in the Raptors
Toronto Raptors have got some fresh faces in the form of Terrence Davis, Dewan Hernandez, and Rondae Hollis Jefferson. Along with that, they are also trying to sign in Dragan Bender in their new team. All of these are young and talented players who can make it big in the next season.
Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet and Marc Gasol are the players who are still with the Raptors even after free agency. These are the same players who played in the final matches against the Golden State Warriors and defeated them. It is not just about big names, the team which has a depth in their line-up wins the NBA title every year.
Next Season without Kawhi Leonard
Nick Nurse, the head coach of the Toronto Raptors is fully confident in his new team and explains his views on Kawhi Leonard leaving the team. In a recent interview, Nurse revealed that he doesn’t blame Leonard for leaving Raptors team in between.

The Raptors coach also added that it was always bound to happen and they were prepared for it. Nurse is aware that it will be tough without Leonard in the next season and other players have to step up their game. The Raptors still have a lot of potentials and can hopefully get to the NBA 2020 finals.
