The Toronto Raptors’ big man is on the trading block. In the offseason, many teams were linked to OG Anunoby, but he wasn’t traded. Now, an NBA writer has proposed a trade deal involving Anunoby.
In the trade deal, the Raptors big star will be traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for some first-round draft picks alongside some players. Here is the potential trade idea!
Memphis Grizzlies Landing OG Anunoby – The Trade Proposal
- The Toronto Raptors will receive Ziaire Williams, Jake LaRavia, Brandon Clarke, Kenneth Lofton Jr., a 2024 First Round Draft Pick, a 2026 First Round Draft Pick, and a 2028 First Round Draft Pick (Protected by Top 3).
- The Memphis Grizzlies will receive OG Anunoby alongside Otto Porter Jr.
Memphis didn’t have a great start to this season. They were 0-6 before their first win against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Grizzlies have one of the best point guards in the league, Ja Morant. However, Morant is not available due to his ongoing suspension from the NBA till December this year.
Since the Grizzlies don’t have Ja Morant available on the roster, the popular NBA writer Zach Buckley from Bleacher Report has proposed a trade deal in which the Grizzlies land OG Anunoby.

Could OG Anunoby’s Stellar Stats Land Him in Memphis Grizzlies?
OG Anunoby is one of the best big men and two-way players in the league. This season, the two-way wing has scored around 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
The Raptors’ big man has a shooting average of 55.9% from the field, 42.5% of the shots from beyond the arc, and 44.4% of the shots from the free-throw line.
If the Grizzlies acquire O.G. from the Raptors, then they would have a strong roster with players like Anunoby, Marcus Smart, Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., Bismack Biyombo, and more.
This is not the first time the Grizzlies are trying to acquire the Raptors’ big man. In the previous season also, the Memphis tried to land OG Anunoby on their roster, but they couldn’t.
