Zion Williamson is on the trading block this season. He will be traded due to his frequent health issues and injuries.
Now, an NBA writer has proposed a trade deal involving Williamson. In this deal, the New York Knicks will acquire Zion from the New York Pelicans. Have a look at the proposal!
The Zion Williamson Trade Proposal
- The New York Knicks will receive Zion Williamson.
- The New Orleans Pelicans will receive Julius Randle, Immanuel Quickley, a 2024 First Round Draft Pick, and a 2025 First Round Draft Pick.
The Knicks are the potential traders for Zion since the power forward has his friends in the Pelicans. Zion was the teammate of the Knicks’ RJ Barrett on the college team.
If the Knicks acquired him from the Pelicans, then both these players can form great chemistry.
Eddie Bitar, the popular NBA writer from the Fadeaway world, proposed this trade deal and wrote in his latest NBA trade column:
“His unique skill set, which includes his ability to dominate in the paint, finish at the rim, and contribute on both ends of the floor, would provide an immediate and dynamic boost to the Knicks.”
“In only three seasons of play, Williamson has made two All-Star Teams and made the All-Rookie Team. The future is tremendously bright for the 2019 No. 1 overall pick.

Bitar further added:
“Pairing Williamson with existing talents like Jalen Brunson and potentially other acquisitions would create a compelling core for the Knicks’ future success. His versatility and capability to impact games in multiple ways make him a player around whom the team can build and contend for championships in the years to come.”
Zion Williamson has signed a rookie contract with the New Orleans Pelicans for a massive $194.3 million for 5 years in 2022.
Zion has averaged around 25.8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while. Furthermore, he has been named 2 time NBA All-Star.
Williamson has only played a total of 114 games out of 308 regular season games while playing for the Pelicans, which raises a concern about his health issues.
The power forward missed the entire season in his third-year contract and played only 29 games in the last season for the Pelicans.
However, the best thing is he is becoming fit and might be completely healthy before the next season kicks off, as reported by Will Guillory of The Athletic.
