This season has not been good for the Detroit Pistons. They lost most of the games that they played and went on to maintain a record-losing streak. It seems like nothing went in the favour of the Detroit Pistons, they lost games that were totally in their hand. This season has not been a good season for the Detroit fans to watch as their team has put up horrible gameplay.
Detroit Pistons Having an Embarrassing Season
This season has been full of downs for the Detroit Pistons, they have ended up losing almost all of the matches that they played. The Pistons maintained a losing streak of 28 games matching the embarrassing record of the Philadelphia 76ers. In the 2014-15 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers lost 28 games consecutively. Before this season, the Sixers were on the top of the losing streak list, but now the Detroit Pistons have joined them at the top of the list.
Detroit Pistons are on the way to breaking the record of the Philadelphia
Philadelphia has another embarrassing record in its name that it registered back in 1973. They had a record of 9-73. As per the play that Detroit has displayed, it seems like they could easily break this record of the Sixers.
The Detroit Pistons are now a dreadful 3-36, which puts them on pace for a full-season record of 6-76.
They could easily break the all-time NBA record for futility (9-73) set by Philly in 1973.

Jaden Ivey on losing
The Piston’s point guard Jaden Ivey is one of the players whose effort has been appreciated. It feels sad to see a player like him end up on the losing side. In one of the interviews, he seemed quite emotional. His words expressed the pain that the entire team is going through.
“It comes down to pride. All of the pain that we felt this year … this is painful. This is painful to go through. We’re in a season where we’re losing a ton of games, and it’s like … it comes down to pride at the end of the day. ” Jaden Ivey said
Pistons still have the chance of saving themselves from achieving this embarrassing milestone as no team would like their name associated with such records. Someone needs to step up and lead the team in a better way. Right now the team looks weak on both the offensive and defensive sides, there is a lot that needs to be figured out among the team. This has been the most disappointing season for the Pistons fans.
