There is one controversial figure, who despite mocking fun of the NBA games has shared his opinion on the deal. Donald Trump shared the news of the Clippers team signing a deal with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The news said that the Clippers coach Doc Rivers is a big winner in the NBA as he managed to land both the superstar player for his team. Normally, it would be a general tweet like everybody else congratulating, but Rivers and Trump hate each other and hence it is very shocking.
Apparently, Rivers had called Donald Trump as the worst person out there for his racial behavior against the NBA players. Trump has not said much about the deal after that, and he is praising the NBA team. It could only mean that he is trying to win their confidence for the upcoming 2020 Presidential elections.
LA Clippers are now the Top Contenders
The Clippers has managed to create history by signing Leonard, beating the Lakers and Raptors in the race. The deal might mean a lot as they also got Paul George and gave out Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari, along with six of their first-round future picks.
