Kawhi Leonard is one of the most, if not the most sought after free agent in this summer. Kevin Durrant was the one who held that title before, but the long term Achilles injury that will keep him out for a whole season means that Kawhi Leonard’s stock has since risen. Of course, leading your team to their first ever NBA championship and being declared the NBA Finals MVP helps as well.

While he is enjoying his championship win with his team right now, he will soon have to shift attention to his future, in particular, his free agency. There have been a lot of rumors as to where Kawhi Leonard will head to next- with the Los Angeles Clippers being the top destination right now.
Clippers ready to meet with Leonard
According to The Athletic’s Frank Isola, a meeting is scheduled on 2nd July between the Los Angeles Clippers and Kawhi Leonard and his representatives.
The LA Clippers are putting all their eggs in one basket in their quest to land Leonard. They cannot afford the All-Star to move to any other franchise, and rumors of him looking at the Knicks will have the Clippers hyperventilating.
Leonard still considering re-signing with the Raptors
Chris Haynes still believes that, ultimately, Leonard will become an unrestricted free agent, but the player is seriously considering taking up the Raptors resigning offer.
It was just last week that news broke out that Leonard was looking at the Knicks as a possible option as well. He has three choices in front of him- stay on with the Raptors or move to either the Knicks or the Clippers. Only time will tell which one Kawhi Leonard opts for.
