Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns’ 34-year-old power forward, has been a part of many trades over the past few years. Recently when a sports journalist called NBA players’ trade request a bad practice, Kevin took it to Twitter and asked the journalist to cut it out.
Here’s how the saga rolled out!
Why did Kevin Durant blast the sports journalist?
Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard is looking to part ways with them. He has been trying everything to force out his trade to the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat.
Even though Portland is working on the player’s request, they want quite a lot in return for their 32-year-old point guard.
Canadian Journalist Josh Eberley stated that when stars request for a trade, teams on the bad end of the stick are left dry and called it a bad practice.
After which, Kevin Durant lashed out on the reporter on Twitter, he tagged him in the tweet and asked the reporter to cut it out.
Bad practice…😂😂😂😂 cut it out

What else Kevin Durant had to say about the issue?
Phoenix’s prolific scorer didn’t stop there. He tweeted that the fans love the game of basketball, they will move on just like they do when the organization trades a fan favorite. He added that in this case, Portland fans can’t wait to watch scoots career and he doesn’t see what the big deal is.
It’s for sure that Portland fans would love to watch what Scoot Henderson has to offer, but Damian’s departure is too much to take in for them.
Damian has asked for his exit, which is disheartening and complex for the fans. He has gone out of the way to make a different ultimate decision, and this time, he’d expect it to happen his way.

Kevin Durant and his trade history
Kevin played for Oklahoma City Thunder for nine years and failed to reach the finals every year except 2012, where they lost to Miami Heat.
Durant moved to the Golden State Warriors during the 2016 off-season for a title and won it twice in 3 years.
He moved to Brooklyn Nets, where the team failed to perform; Kevin wanted to trade himself out in 2022 but failed. A year later, he moved to Phoenix Suns.
Along with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving has also supported Damian over his trade request. Let’s see if Lillard gets to land in Miami this season or not.
