Up until this week, it was the New York Knicks who were the favourites to land Kyrie Irving. But the tide, it seems, has turned, with the word now being that the Brooklyn Nets looking like Kyrie Irving’s most likely destination.

The Knicks will have to look at other targets, or else face being left empty-handed. But before any move, the New York Knicks have a lot of thinking to do.
Kevin Durant move still on the cards?
The Knicks need to answer the Kevin Durant question first. Durant, who is likely to miss the entirety of the upcoming season, is still a target for the Knicks despite his injury. The Knicks must make up their mind on their dream of a partnership between Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Where to next for Kemba Walker?
Of course, there are other targets to consider as well before a Kyrie Irving trade. Kemba Walker is one such target. The Charlotte Hornets star man is still waiting on their contract offer, and would only test foreign waters if the talks fail. At the moment, the 29-year-old has two teams- the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics, interested in him.
The Celtics do have the space to land Walker. But if the Lakers wish to get his services, they will first have to give up some assets. The player that looks most likely to leave at the moment is Terry Rozier, as per reports.
Rozier averaged 9.0 points, 2.9 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game last season for the Celtics. He can surely improve on those numbers if he is played in the right team and given ample playing time to improve his output.

Rozier has already made it clear since last season that he wishes to leave, and he will have many teams lining up to check out his services. For now, a Kyrie Irving and New York Knicks deal seems most likely this year.
