Boston Celtics’ Kyrie Irving is looking to opt out of his last year of the contract and become a free agent by the end of June 30. And to facilitate this move, it seems, Irving has sacked his longtime agent Jeff Wechsler. His new agency is believed to be Jay-Z’s popular brand, Roc Nation.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durrant to play in the same team next year?
Roc Nation is also the representatives of the Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durrant, and this change from Kyrie Irving only adds more fuel to the rumors that the two will be playing for the same team next season.
Irving was the first pick in the 2011 draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and was in line to earn $21.3 million of a $94.3 million package in his final year when he signed. He joined the Celtics in the 2017-18 season, following a championship win with the Cavaliers.
As for Durrant, his season ended horribly- his team, the Warriors lost 3-2 in the NBA Finals and Durrant had to walk off in his last game with a severe Achilles injury. It is being reported that the injury may keep him out for the whole of the 2019-20 NBA season.
Durrant is trying his best to keep his spirits up- the Warriors star recently tweeted a photo of himself in the hospital bed, post-surgery.

While Durrant rests and recovers, he has a decision to make. The Warriors star must choose between a $31.5 million year extension with the Warriors or try his hand at the free agency market in his injured state.
There is interest in him, though. Both the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets are still interested in landing both him and Irving and have gone so far as to make space on their payrolls for the pair as well.
