The Miami Heat’s guard and forward Duncan Robinson might get traded to the New York Knicks this summer. Robinson is an elite shooter, and shooters are valued very highly in the NBA. But he struggled at defending, and that pushed him out of Miami’s rotation but he eventually returned in the playoffs.
The Heat have been in the headlines for the Damian Lillard saga, who they are yet to sign. If the Heat value Robinson the same, are they still going to trade him off? The Knicks have shown interest in signing him. Can they actually land the shooter? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks involving Duncan Robinson.
What would the Knicks offer for Duncan Robinson?
The Knicks are expected to offer Evan Fournier in this swap deal in exchange for Duncan Robinson. The Heat are probably trading Robinson off because shooters are generally good at nothing but shooting, and the same has been the case with him as well. The Thunder were tired of the same issue with Davis Bertans, who is just switching teams as of now. But Robinson is what the Knicks want and the Heat should not leave any opportunity to trade him off.
Miami is "prepared to offer a package" centered around Tyler Herro, possibly Duncan Robinson and picks for Dame, per B/R's @ChrisBHaynes

Why would the Heat let Duncan Robinson go?
The Heat might not be interested in entertaining Robinson’s defending issues anymore. They are getting Fournier in exchange, who might not be as good of a shooter as Robinson, but he can defend, create shots, and is a decent playmaker as well. His inconsistency might concern the Heat, but they are most likely to take a risk there. If they fail to land Damian, this trade gives them the financial flexibility to do good in next year’s trade window.
What changes do the Heat need to make this summer to put them over the top? Is Duncan Robinson on the way out? Boogie Cousins has heard all the Damian Lillard trade chatter and wants to see It happen – with Kyle Lowry in the deal. pic.twitter.com/85Nk1tPPlJ

Why would the Knicks like to sign Duncan Robinson?
The Knicks might be doing it for the floor spacing issues they have and although things might get messy financially, they would fancy landing Robinson. This trade would make the Knicks better and would also allow their stars to play with more freedom.
