The Miami Heat is eagerly looking for a team to trade their young guard. Could San Antonio Spurs acquire Tyler Herro from the Heat?
The Miami Heat has done a fabulous job in the last NBA Season. No one expected the Miami Heat to make it as far as they did in the playoffs, but there were many players who exceeded expectations except for Herro. As a result, the Heat is considering trading him to acquire assets and improve their roster.
The Tyler Herro Trade Proposal
- The Miami Heat will receive the forward Doug McDermott, the guard Devonte Graham, the 2025 First-Round Draft Pick (Atlanta Hawks via San Antonio Spurs).
- In exchange, the San Antonio Spurs will receive the guard Tyler Herro.
While the Miami Heat performed very well in the last NBA Season, the Spurs did not run for the Finals as they lacked a guard. This year, the Spurs picked Victor Wembanyama with their lottery pick.
If Victors performs well this season, then the Spurs can go way far than expected. But even after acquiring Wembanayama, the Spurs are thinking about their future. Hence, they are considering acquiring Herro from the Heat.
Why Do the San Antonio Spurs Want to Acquire Tyler Herro?
Herro is a perfect fit for the Spurs. He has a high-scoring style which could instantly improve the Spurs’ roster. And since he is young, he can stay for longer in the team and completely change their game player for years to come.
On top of that, if Herro and Wembanyama develop a relationship, then the Spurs can be the contenders for the next title.

Miami Heat will have no impact on Herro joining the Spurs. In this deal, they will receive Doug McDermott and Devonte Graham, who can be a great replacement for Gabe Vincent or Max Struss, who left the team the last season.
