NBA Insider Reveals: Chicago Bulls Set to Trade Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan
An NBA Insider revealed that the Chicago Bulls will trade their Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan in the 2023-24 NBA Season. DeMar’s contract with the Bulls is ending soon, and the Bulls are actively looking to trade him.
The NBA executive revealed:
“This team is destined to flop once again this season.”
“I believe there’s a good chance both DeRozan and LaVine are gone by the trade deadline.”
The Chicago Bulls are looking for new and young talent to rebuild their roster after they could qualify in the playoffs last Season. The Bulls don’t have many assets to acquire players, so they are trading their LaVine and DeRozan to gain some assets and acquire new players.
LaVine’s Career and Stats
Zach is one of the best players with great career stats from the Chicago Bulls. He has been named two times as NBA Slam Dunk Champion and will earn around $40 million in the upcoming year. He signed a massive contract worth $215.2 million with the Bulls in July 2022.
LaVine averaged around 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, alongside 4.2 assists in the previous season for the Bulls. He is also a potential Hall of Fames who will make around $28.6 million in the upcoming season.
Zach has played a total of 348 games with the Chicago Bulls, with an average of 24.5 points. But even with such a great performer, the Bulls couldn’t qualify for playoffs. The Bulls acquired LaVine from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2017 Summer Season by trading their Jimmy Butler.
DeRozan Career and Stats
The Chicago Bulls acquired DeRozan from the Toronto Raptors in the Summer 2021 NBA Season. They acquired him with a sign-and-trade deal with the Spurs.
