James Harden’s trade value is at an all-time low. No NBA team wants to miss an opportunity to acquire a player like Harden at such a low price. But a low price tag doesn’t only mean good stuff. There is also some risk associated with such a trade.
Could the Knicks take the risk and acquire James Harden from the Sixers in a trade deal? If they do, here is what the trade deal will look like!
The James Harden Trade Proposal
- The Philadelphia 76ers will receive the guard/forward Evan Fournier, the guard/forward Donte DiVincenzo, the center Isaiah Hartenstein, and a 2025 First Round Draft Pick (Protected with Lottery – New York Knicks.
- The New York Knicks will receive the guard James Harden in exchange.
There are multiple situations that raised and broke the Sixers. The first one of them was the promise that the general manager of the organization, Daryl Morey, made to the “beard star.”
Morey promised Harden a max extension in the last season, but now he has refused to offer the extension. It is one of the sole reasons why Harden requested a trade.
Now, Harden is gone, and the Sixers have to replace his role with another good player on the roster. If they trade Harden, could they move him to the Knicks?
How Moving James Harden Would Benefit the Sixers?
Harden’s trade value is at an all-time low. No team is offering the desired package for the All-Star player. The general manager, Daryl Morey, is looking for a package that offers good returns, with some quality players and valuable picks.
If they trade Harden, Joel Embiid could be next to request a trade. So, the organization has to serve him with a plan to contend in the next NBA Season.
In this deal, the Sixers will acquire Donte DiVincenzo, who is an ideal replacement for Harden. He is a great 3-and-D wing who could complement Embiid on the court.
How This Deal Would Benefit the New York Knicks?
In this trade, the Knicks will lose two of their highly valuable players, DiVincenco and Hartenstein. However, they have a quality point guard on their roster, Jalen Brunson.

The Knicks want to acquire Harden to be the serious contenders in the upcoming season. Harden is one of the best players in the league, even though he is not at the peak of his career.
The NBA All-Star has the ability to create his own shots and could be an elite offense and playmaker for the Knicks, making it an excellent deal for them.
