An NBA writer has proposed a trade deal between the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors involving the star guard James Harden. The Warriors want to further improve their roster by adding more defense to it, and who could be a better option than Harden?
The James Harden Trade Proposal
- The Golden State Warriors will receive James Harden.
- The Philadelphia 76ers will receive Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II, and Moses Moody.
Golden State Warriors don’t want to run out of the competition by not contending it. Instead, they want to utilize their assets and be one of the contenders for the NBA 2023-24 Season.
They have superstar players like Stephen Curry, and they have also acquired the star point guard Chris Paul. Could they further improve their defensive wing by adding James Harden?
Could the Golden State Warriors Acquire James Harden from the Sixers?
James Harden is not the best option for the Golden State Warriors in this deal. The potential Hall of Famer is no longer at the peak of his career, but he could play an ideal mentor for the youngsters.
Although he is no longer at his peak, he could still play well enough for the Warriors to win the championship.
In the last season, he scored around 1 point, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists per game while a player for the Sixers. And he shot around 38.5% of his shots from the 3-point range.
Why Do the Sixers Want to Trade Harden to the Warriors?
While most of the folks are expecting the Sixers to not be content for the next NBA Season, the Sixers want to stay competitive with their big man Joel Embiid after they trade Harden.
In this trade deal, the Sixers will receive some quality players like Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II, and Moses Moody.
The former All-Star Wiggins is a solid player that the Sixers are getting in this deal. He could be well paired with the Sixers’ star player, Embiid, to create a game plan. Wiggins could be an ideal No.3 for the Sixers and a perfect match for Tyrese Maxey and Embiid.
