Why would the Bulls let DeMar DeRozan go?
Even if we do not consider the after-effects of the trade, the Bulls are getting two quality players along with a draft pick. This kills two birds with one stone, they lose a star player and increase their chances of getting a better player in the NBA draft and they strengthen their roster as well. Would they use them to build around Zach LaVine or are they going to sell him as well?

Why would the Knicks like to sign DeMar DeRozan?
DeMar is not that great when it comes to floor spacing, and it is hard for him to find space for himself in any roster. But he is a brilliant playmaker and defender. They should work on signing him first and then work on his role in the team.
