The Dallas Mavericks are looking to make some changes on their roster and around their star duo, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Could they trade Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers as a part of the improvement process?
The Myles Turner Trade Proposal
- The Indiana Pacers will receive guard/forward Tim Hardaway Jr., guard/forward Josh Green, guard Jaden Hardy, the 2027 first-round draft pick (Dallas Mavericks), and the 2028 first-round draft pick (Swap – Dallas Mavericks).
- The Dallas Mavericks will receive center Myles Turner.
Turner is a young player and has the potential to become a superstar player. He is yet to hit his peak, where he could be an extremely useful player.
The Indiana Pacers are confused about whether to retain or trade Turner. Last season, the Pacers decided to extend his contract, which made complete sense to them. But could they trade him now? Or extend his contract?
Could the Pacers Send Myles Turner to the Mavericks?
The Pacers have multiple reasons to consider this deal. In this deal, they will receive some quality youngsters like Jaden Hardy and Josh Green, who will be more valuable in the upcoming years.
Alongside the players, the Pacers will receive an unprotected first-round pick and a swap, making it a great deal for them.
The reason why the Pacers would consider trading Turner is that they already have a lot of young talents and potential superstars on their roster, whether it be Tyrese Haliburton, Jarace Walker, or Benedict Mathurin.
So, they can easily trade Myles Turner and still be the contenders for the next season.
Could the Mavericks Acquire Myles Turner from the Pacers?
The Mavericks are considering rebuilding their roster around their superstar duo, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, and they need a defensive anchor.

Even though the Mavericks already have a quality defensive anchor, Derrick Lively II, he still needs to work on his skills.
By contract, Turner is an excellent choice as a defensive anchor. He could not only be the Mavs’ elite rim protector but he could also defense their space well.
