DeMarcus Cousins and his injuries seem to be inseparable and the player can’t catch a break. The 29-year-old player tore his ACL while working out in Las Vegas and things are not right for him. Boogie might miss the entire NBA 2019-20 season and the Lakers need to fill the empty spot in their roster. The Lakers needs to look at names such as Kenneth Faried, Joakim Noah, Amir Johnson or Marcin Gortat for replacing DeMarcus Cousins in the next NBA season.
Kenneth Faried
Kenneth Faried is one of the names that the Lakers needs to look around. While playing in the Houston Rockets last season, Faried averaged 12.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. The fact that Faried is just 29 years old and plays like a bulldog makes him a valuable addition to the Lakers. Faried could team up with JaVale McGee to give Anthony Davis some minutes in the center position and score three-pointers.

Joakim Noah
DeMarcus Cousins has been a good defender in the Warriors and Pelicans and this is what the Lakers will look in his replacements. Joakim Noah is one such free agent who is great in defense and comes in cheap. While playing 42 games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season, Noah had an average of 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 16.5 minutes per game. Noah might not have those good numbers but his experience alone makes him a valuable name.
Sources: Lakers planning individual workouts to evaluate centers Joakim Noah, Dwight Howard and Mo Speights this week in Los Angeles. Another consideration currently overseas: Marcin Gortat. Lakers want a window into physical condition and mindset of a potential addition.

Amir Johnson
Amir Johnson is one of those names who might not score much but has the best way to approach the game. While playing 51 games for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, Johnson had an average of3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game. The numbers in no way are enough for the Lakers or any other team but Johnson is an intelligent man who can be useful to any team he plays.

Marcin Gortat
Marcin Gortat played for the town rivals Los Angeles Clippers in the last season. While playing in the 43 games last season, Gortat had an average of 5.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.5 blocks per 16 minutes of the game. But the thing which makes Gortat valuable is shooting 53.2 percent from the field and 72.9 percent of free-throw shots. There is no way the Lakers will find someone of an All-Star caliber and Gortat is the best they can get with such a huge experience.
