James Harden has again requested a trade. This time he wants to join Los Angeles Clippers. Harden’s trade value is going down due to his trade requests. The San Antonio Spurs can exploit this buy-low opportunity as they are eyeing the shooting and point guard.
The James Harden Trade Proposal

Star players like James Harden often create problems for the teams, requesting a trade. Harden has also been a demanding player, since he requested a trade from Houston Rockets, he has been frequently demanding trades. So it would be a risk for the Spurs to get him on their roster.
Why San Antonio Spurs Want This Trade?
The San Antonio Spurs want this trade deal as they are getting a top NBA player that too without giving up a lot of their assets. This is a great deal for the Spurs.
The Spurs are taking advantage of the Sixers’ bad situation. And they also want to help Victor Wembanyama as he starts his NBA career.
This is due to the fact that Wembanyama would do much better if he played alongside a superstar player like Harden, who is really good at analyzing the court situation.
James can help Wembanyama by passing the ball to him when the opposite team is attacking. The Spurs were eagerly looking for a point guard, and Harden is one of the best they can acquire.

How Would This Deal Benefit the Philadelphia 76ers?
Now, the Sixers are left with two choices. Either they can trade Harden to the LA Clippers, or they could wait for another team that is willing to acquire Harden.
Due to multiple trade requests, Harden’s value has crashed and is not high as before. The LA Clippers wouldn’t offer a big deal, as no other team is willing to acquire the point guard. Also, the Spurs wouldn’t make a solid offer for Harden as he may leave the team after a short period.
So, the Sixers have to pick the better option out of the two. The options are not great, but they are better than nothing since Harden wants to be traded anyway. The Sixes will still have players like Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid on their roster.
Furthermore, after Harden’s trade, the team will still be strong enough to match the competition as long as the team doesn’t run into problems.
