Why would the Heat let Tyler Herro go?
It is all about Damian, isn’t it? In a sense, yes, but it’s not only him. The Heat would get Quickley, who is a much better defender than Tyler. Fournier’s contract is expiring, and his arrival would not hurt much. The returns are good enough. Isn’t this what they wanted for Herro?

Why would the Knicks like to sign Tyler Herro?
The Knicks see more caliber in Herro than Immanuel Quickley and he is young as well. They already have a brilliant offense, and when they make their bet on Herro to be their future, they are just enhancing it. The Knicks might be in a hurry to do this deal as they would like to part ways with Quickley as soon as possible.
