Brandon started by saying that he loves the Pelicans and whatever situation he is in, is perfect for him, and that is how he wanted things to be. He told Guillory that he can go and play basketball whenever he wants. He has got direct access. He feels that people around him are very helpful and he is connected with the fans and the management.

What did Brandon Ingram say about his contract?
While talking about his contract, he said that he had to earn the contract, he had to show the Pelicans that he is worth it. He said that most players get their contract after the third year but he got his in the fourth year. He did not blame the management and said that it was obvious that since he was coming off an injury issue, they needed to observe him for a while. He concluded by saying that he worked hard and he knew his efforts would pay off very soon.

Brandon Ingram: Performance and contract
Brandon has played a total of 223 games with the Pelicans and he averages 23.7 points, 5 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game. He was given the NBA most improved player of the year in 2019-20.
