There are many teams eyeing Damian Lillard this NBA off-season. The Portland Trail Blazers are sure to trade Lillard to a team with the best offer on the table.
A popular NBA writer, Zach Buckley from Bleacher Report, has proposed a trade deal between the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers for Damian Lillard trade.
The Damian Lillard Trade Proposal
- The Portland Trail Blazers will receive Collin Sexton, Talen Horton-Tucker, Keynote George, and Kelly Olynyk.
- The Portland Trail Blazers will also receive the 2025 First-Round Draft Pick ( via Cleveland Cavaliers) and a 2027 First-Round Draft Pick (Protected by Top 4, via Los Angeles Lakers).
- In return, the Utah Jazz will receive Damian Lillard.

Utah Jazz Making Major Changes to the Roster
The Utah Jazz are making major adjustments to their roster. If they successfully acquire Damian from the Trail Blazers, then they will have 4-star players, including the future Hall of Famer, Lillard.
The Jazz will have Big 4, including Lillard, Walker Kessler, Collins, and Lauri Markkanen. Lillard has been performing very well as he averaged around 32.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game in the last NBA season for the Portland Trail Blazers. Currently, he is one of the best players in the league and a potential candidate for the Hall of Fame trophy.
The Utah Jazz have a clear vision to win the trophy in the upcoming season. They already have a good capital of draft picks which they acquire in the previous season by trading Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
The NBA writer Zach Buckley wrote:
“Why not Utah? While the Jazz proved surprisingly competitive last season—thanks in huge part to Lauri Markkanen’s All-Star ascension and Walker Kessler’s All-Rookie first-team effort—they still need another difference-maker to have any shot of escaping the West.”
“Lillard could make that difference, providing the creation, shot-making and distributing this offense desperately needs.”
However, it should be noted that the Trail Blazers will not trade their star player until they get the best deal for Lillard. They would rather wait than trade him for a lesser return.
Lillard has recently requested the Trail Blazers to trade him to Miami Heat, which has significantly dropped his value in the league.
