Golden State Warriors are no longer considered as the league toppers and NBA title contenders is out of the cards too. The reason is simple as the stars like Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, DeAndre Jordan, DeMarcus Cousins, etc. has left the team. On the other hand, the rest of the teams have got new players and made their power duos for the next NBA season.
Harden and Westbrook in the Rockets, James and Davis in the Lakers, Leonard and George in the Clippers are the biggest competition in the western side. With Klay Thompson injured for the most part of this season, all the responsibilities pile up on Stephen Curry, D’Angelo Russell and Willie Cauley-Stein. It is the reason why Curry, Russel and Stein will have the toughest NBA 2019-20 season in the Warriors.
Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry is the only Warrior left in the roster who has been with the team since the beginning. With Kevin Durant gone, Curry needs to step up for the team and take them to victory. Curry averaged 27.3 points and 5.2 assists per game in the last season and he needs to increase that further. The point guard also has to pair up with D’Angelo Russell and prove everyone his worth for the Warriors in NBA 2019-20 season.

D’Angelo Russel
D’Angelo Russell had the best season of his career with an average of 21.1 points, 7.0 assists and 43 percent shooting from the paint. The Warriors side also believes that Russell is very important to them for the next NBA season. It should also be noted that the Warriors indirectly replaced Kevin Durant with D’Angelo and hence he got a very important role to play for the team.
"For a guy that's pretty new in the league, he's been through more than most I'd say."
Bob Myers knew about D'Angelo Russell's talent when the Warriors acquired the All-Star guard. Now, the GM is just as impressed with D-Lo's maturity https://t.co/vvVIGlqg2a pic.twitter.com/IXRBQkWIWB

Willie Cauley-Stein
Willie Cauley-Stein was traded in from the Sacramento Kings in the earlier deals and the Warriors have big plans for him. Despite having a career average of just 10.1 points and 6.4 rebounds, Stein is one of the best young players in the NBA right now. Steve Kerr, the head coach of Warriors plans to replace JaVale McGee with Stein for the next NBA season. The 25-year-old player might start slow, but he will be making strides for the Warriors as the season commences.
Steph, Dlo, Klay, Draymond, Willie Cauley-Stein…. and ppl are talking about them missing the playoffs 🧐
