DeMar DeRozan is on the trading block and a potential trade target for many teams. The veteran is entering into the final year of his contract with the Chicago Bulls. The organization hasn’t discussed an extension with DeRozan. Does this mean they can trade DeRozan? If they do, what are the potential landing spots for DeRozan?
DeMar DeRozan: Potential Trade Target for Los Angeles Clippers?
DeMar DeRozan is one of the best players on the Chicago Bulls’ roster. He will enter the final year of his contract with the Knicks. The veteran signed a 3-year contract worth $85 million with the San Antonio Spurs.
According to an NBA Insider, Brian Windhorst of ESPN, DeRozan could be the next potential trade target for many teams.
Windhorst said:
“One guy to keep an eye on, for everybody, the whole league, this year is DeMar DeRozan.”
One potential trade destination for DeMar DeRozan is the Los Angeles Clippers, as per Windhorst.

Is DeRozan’s scoring style not fitting the Bulls’ offensive wing? Could this lead to a trade?
While DeMar is one of the best players on the Bulls roster, the organization is reconsidering its decision on whether or not they should extend the veteran. As per the Bulls’ coach, Billy Donovan, DeMar’s scoring style doesn’t fit the Bulls’ offensive wing, which is a major issue.
Donovan told NBC Sports Chicago:
“I think there has to be a balance,” Donovan said. “DeMar, I love working with him because he’s always about the team. And I think if we become so iso-heavy, I think he even knows, that’s only going to take us so far. In play-calling situations, I think we can go to him. But we have to get the ball downhill and spray the ball out.”
The Chicago missed the playoffs last year. They finished the pre-season 1-4. If the Bulls’ roster doesn’t perform this season, the whole team could collapse, which is a major issue. So, the Bulls have to make a wise decision when it comes to extending DeRozan.
