The Toronto Raptors’ center and forward Pascal Siakam has been linked with the Hawks for a long time now. The 29 year old is the hot topic in the NBA without even asking for a trade like Damian Lillard and James Harden did.
This transfer window has been crazy, on one hand Damian Lillard and James Harden are dying for a trade to the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers but their current teams have other plans. Whereas Pascal has not asked for a trade and is happy to stay with the Raptors, they are trying to trade him off. The Atlanta Hawks have sniffed the opportunity and are preparing to land him. Here are 2 ways the deal between the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors involving Pascal Siakam can go through.
Pascal Siakam to the Hawks involving the Mavericks
This deal would bring a hefty sum of assets to the Raptors which would include De’Andre Hunter, Maxi Kleber, Josh Green and one first round pick each from the year 2024,2027 and 2029. The Mavericks would get Clint Capela and the Hawks would land Pascal Siakam.
Landing Siakam would cost a lot and the Hawks would be needed to part ways with Clint Capela but the Raptors do not need him. This is where the Mavericks can come in and take away the big man, they can throw in a few trade picks to get a partner for Luka Doncic. But can the Mavericks do it with not so much assets to spend.

Pascal Siakam to the Hawks involving the Spurs
The Raptors would get De’Andre Hunter, Devonte’ Graham, Jalen Johnson and one draft pick from each the year 2024, 2025 and 2029. In this scenario, the Spurs would land Clint Capela and the Hawks would get Pascal.
The Raptors would lose Jalen in this deal and Spurs might not want to lose their capital at all since they are in the rebuilding phase.
The Raptors would only consider trading Pascal Siakam if they were to receive a trade involving ‘established players' in return.

Would the Mavericks offer their support in signing Pascal or the Hawks would have to give up Jalen to do it via the Spurs? They have 2 routes for their destination, which road would they take? We’ll keep you updated.
