Why the Spurs Want to Acquire Joel Embiid from the Sixers?
The San Antonio Spurs have a superstar big man on their roster, Victor Wembanayam. Now, the Spurs want to serve Wembanayama with a solid plan to contend in the upcoming season, and they could do this by acquiring another big man to pair with him, and else could be a better option than Joel Embiid.
It makes sense to acquire Embiid from the Sixers and pair him with Victor. If they successfully acquire Embiid, then they can form their big-man duo to win the championship.
Could the Sixers Trade their Big Man, Embiid, to the Spurs?
The Philadelphia 76ers won’t consider trading Joel Embiid until they get a trade request from the big man himself. James Harden has already requested a trade, and the Sixers are expecting that their star center might also request a trade, following the steps of Harden.
However, if the Sixers serve him with a plan to win the title, then he might not make his trade request. But if Embiid requests a trade, the Sixers will have to rebuild their roster from scratch.

If the Sixers trade Embiid to the Spurs, they will receive good returns in exchange. They will receive Johnson who is a youngster with an excellent skillset and potential. Furthermore, they will receive 4 valuable unprotected draft picks, making it an ideal deal for them.
