The Los Angeles Lakers’ star forward and center, Anthony Davis, is likely to get traded in the coming days. Lil Wayne recently suggested that the Giants might part ways with the 30-year-old. The rumor has shaken the NBA world since Anthony is a key part of the Lakers organization, both on and off the field.
The dynamic duo of Anthony and LeBron James has been running the Lakers for years now. The eight-time NBA All-Star impacts the game at both ends of the court. We think that the Lakers should not trade him at all. But since we can’t decide that, here are 3 trade scenarios for the Lakers to send away Anthony Davis.
Anthony Davis to the Houston Rockets
The Rockets are expected to offer Jabari Smith, Amen Thompson, Jae’Sean Tate, Jock Landale, and Jeff Green – one first-round pick each from the years 2024, 2025 and 2026 and one second-round pick each from the years 2025 and 2026 in exchange for Davis. The Lakers want to win another championship before LeBron retires and for that reason, they might not fancy this trade. They would not be able to fill the void left by Anthony with any player involved in this deal.

Anthony Davis to the San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs would love to pair Victor Wembanyama with a star, and they might offer Keldon Johnson, Devis Vassell, Jeremy Sochan, and a first-round pick each from the years 2024,2025 and 2026. This deal would not please the 30-year-old since the Spurs are still rebuilding and he would like to play for a contending team at this stage of his career.

Anthony Davis to the Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks can offer Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and a first-round pick each from the years 2024,2026 and 2028 in exchange for the Lakers’ #3. The two players involved in the deal can replicate the defense and offense provided by Anthony, but neither of them can do both.
Should the Lakers start focusing on the future? Will they win a title before LeBron leaves the basketball court once and for all? We’ll keep you updated.
