Is it too tough to guard Stephen Curry on the Golden State Warriors? The Warriors’ practice session showcased the real-team chemistry. Many players have complained about each other, especially Curry, who is quite difficult to guard on the court.
While Curry is one of the best point guards in the league, except for Magic Johnson, nobody on the Warriors’ rosters is really fond of guarding him. The teammates are not happy to guard Curry. Could this be the reason the Warriors could move Stephen Curry?
Stephen Curry Is a Nightmare to Guard, Even for His Own Teammates
Stephen Curry is one of the greatest point guards in the league. However, nobody on the Warriors’s roster likes to guard him. In the latest tweet, the Twitter handle “Basketball on X” shared that Jonathan Kuminga is liking to guard Curry. Kuminga can’t rest while guarding Curry, which is annoying for him.

"It's annoying guarding him bro. Annoying 'cause you can't rest! Because soon as you rest, he's open, and it's bad…Don't nobody move like 30. So if they move like 30, they don't shoot like 30"… pic.twitter.com/whUAK90gP3

Jonathan Kuminga is a forward/center who guards Curry alongside Gary Payton II. Both of these players have complained multiple times about guarding Stephen Curry. The star guards have complained that they don’t get the time to rest.
Moreover, both the Warriors complained about how Curry can shoot like 30 and nobody else in the league. Curry is not only a great shooter but also a great mover.

Stephen Curry is the best point guard, except Magic Johnson, in the league. The fact that he doesn’t take frequent breaks and rest while practicing makes him the best of all time.
Why do Kuminga and GP2 Can’t Guard Curry?
The reason why Gary Payton II and Jonathan Kuminga can’t guard is because Curry needs very less to take his shots compared to other point guards in the league.
Stephen has the ability to take shots from anywhere on the court, and he baits his opponent to think as he has the ball and takes the shot.
During the games, or even practice sessions, when his own teammates have to guard Stephen Curry, they are annoyed since it is not an easy job to guard the best player in the NBA league.
But this doesn’t conclude that the Warriors will trade him for being the best point guard. The Golden State has the advantage of having the best player in the league, and they would surely benefit from Curry.
