One of the most anticipated trades after James Harden’s trade deal is Zach LaVine’s trade. The Chicago Bulls star is on the trading block and expected to be moved soon. Could the Bulls move LaVine to the New York Knicks? If they agree to trade LaVine to the Knicks, here is the potential trade deal!
New York Knicks to Land Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls – The Trade Proposal
- The Chicago Bulls will receive RJ Barrett, Evan Fournier, and 2 first-round draft picks (including one unprotected draft pick).
- The New York Knicks will receive Zach LaVine.
The Knicks have been continuously trying to trade off LaVine. When the NBA 2023-24 Season kicked off, they tried to move LaVine, but they couldn’t. This is because their asking price for Zach was too steep that no NBA team agreed to match that price for LaVine.
Now, an NBA writer, Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report, has proposed this trade deal involving Zach LaVine between the Knicks and Bulls. In this deal, the Bulls will send LaVine in return for RJ Barrett and Evan Fournier, alongside 2 future draft picks.
The Bulls acquired the 2-time All-Star from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the year 2017 in the Jimmy Butler trade deal. Since the acquisition, the All-Star has been in the trade rumors multiple times.

An NBA writer, Julia Poe of The Chicago Tribune, spoke to LaVine, as he is being around the trade rumors.
LaVine said to Poe:
“I’ve been traded before.”
“Trades are just part of the business and guys get shuffled around every year. I’ve been in trade talks since I’ve been here for some reason. I feel like I’ve held up my end of the bargain in my commitment to the Bulls, but there’s not a lot you can do with rumors and people putting your name in trade talks.”
If the Knicks acquire LaVine from the Bulls, they could have an ideal roster to contend for the title, which includes LaVine, Jalen Brunson, Quentin Grimes, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and more.
Could the Knicks Run for the Title by Trading for Zach LaVine?
Many teams have been linked to LaVine, enquiring about his availability, as reported by ESPN. However, the trade deal did not take place due to the steep asking price.
LaVine signed a 5-year contract with the Bulls for a massive $215.2 million last year in July.
The 2-time All-Star has averaged around 24 points, 1.2 assists, and 4.2 rebounds in a total of 5 games in the current season.
The Bulls’ star has recently hit his career high of 51 points while playing against the Detroit Pistons. If the Knicks trade for LaVine, they would definitely be serious title contenders.
