The Philadelphia 76ers have a lot of players with contracts expiring soon. Could they use these expiring assets to trade for Zach LaVine, who is unhappy with the Chicago Bulls?
Is Zach LaVine Worth the Steep Price Tag? Could the Philadelphia Sixers Pursue Zach LaVine Trade Deal?
The Philadelphia 76ers are looking good in the NBA 2023-24 Eastern Conference after James Harden’s trade deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. Their new duo of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are doing pretty well for the Sixers. Currently, the Sixers are sitting in 4th place with a record of 10-5 in the season.
The Philadelphia Sixers have several players on their roster with expiring contracts. Philly could use those players to trade for LaVine from the Bulls.
I’m so fucking disappointed as a Zach Lavine Stan. Can’t even root for him with another organization going forward. One of my favorite Bulls’ of all time will be dead to me right after he’s dealt. Unreal. pic.twitter.com/8wQFXbAUKX

Zach LaVine has a list of his preferred destinations, which includes the Philadelphia 76ers, the Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Lakers, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Sacramento Kings. However, the Chicago Bulls have set a steep asking price for the 2 time NBA All-Star, LaVine.
LaVine still has 4 years of his contract left with the Chicago Bulls, which he signed last year for a whopping $215 million, in which $178 million of his contract still exists. This makes it hard for other teams to trade for Zach LaVine.
Zach LaVine Trade Deal to the Philadelphia 76ers: Sixers Likely to Make a Move
Pursuing Zach LaVine’s trade deal is not easy for teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat. However, since the Philadelphia 76ers have enough assets to trade, they could pursue a LaVine trade deal.
The Chicago Bulls’ star player would be an ideal fit alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. LaVine has the potential to make the Philadelphia Sixers serious title contenders.
Zach LaVine is regarded as one of the best shooting guards in the NBA league. However, his salary is also huge, which many of the NBA teams can’t afford. Philly could form their dynamic trio of LaVine, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey to win the NBA 2023-24 title.
