The Indiana Pacers have been one of the strongest teams in the NBA league. They are currently sitting in 5th position in the eastern conference with a record of 13-8.
One of the major reasons for the Pacers’ success in the Eastern Conference is Tyrese Haliburton Myles Turner. Both, Haliburton and Turner have not only improved the Pacers’ offense but they have also improved the production on the floor.
On the other hand, Donovan Mitchell, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ shooting guard, has been leading the team. Mitchell has averaged around 27.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists while shooting around 44.9% of the shots from the ground.
Donovan Mitchell joined the Cleveland Cavaliers because of Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland. Allen is the elite rim protector and rebounder for the Cavs. While, Garland creates his own shots and opportunities for his teammates.

With Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen on the roster, Mitchell carries the Cavaliers well. However, Allen and Garland are not as good as Turner and Harliburton on the Pacers. Could this be Mitchell’s motivation to move to the Indiana Pacers?
Could the Indiana Pacers Trade for Donovan Mitchell?
The Indiana Pacers are looking for a third All-Star caliber player to win the title. And else could be a better fit than Donovan Mitchell from the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Donovan Mitchell would have better opportunities on the Pacers’ roster than on the Cavaliers’ roster. The duo, Haliburton and Turner, would reduce pressure on Mitchell, allowing him to focus on his playmaking style.
While Donovan Mitchell’s trade to the Indiana Pacers looks good on paper, the Cleveland Cavaliers could ask for a steep price for their shooting guard, which might demotivate the Pacers’ to trade for him.
However, if the Indiana Pacers take the risk and acquire Mitchell, they could become serious title contenders with Tyrese Haliburton, Myles Turner, and Donovan Mitchell on the roster.
