The Detroit Pistons’ James Wiseman might get traded to the Washington Wizards. The Pistons signed him last year while Jalen Duren was having a brilliant season. The management thought that the two players would sync well, but things did not go according to plan.
The 22 year old center played just 24 games last season and averaged 12.7 points, 0.7 assists and 8.1 rebounds per game for the Pistons. The duo of him and Jalen was expected to change the fate of the team but their struggles at shooting did not let them work together.
The Pistons might send James to the Wizards. Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards involving James Wiseman.
What would the Wizards offer for James Wiseman?
The Wizards can offer Landry Shamet and one second round pick each from the year 2025,2027 and two second round picks from the year 2026 in exchange for James Wiseman. The Wizards are probably trying to rebuild, they signed Bradley Beal. But are they going to stick to the youngsters they have on their roster and where are they sending Kyle Kuzma? They are supposed to figure out all this while keeping an eye on the talent floating in the market.

Why would the Wizards sign James Wiseman?
The Wizards can sign him and can trade off Daniel Grafford later. Even though James gave an average performance last season, it was much better than what he did for the Warriors. The Wizards can trust the process and if James manages to peak, he would be a great asset who can be their big defensive men, space the floor and do some rim running.

Why would the Pistons trade off James Wiseman?
The Pistons probably realized that James’ signing does not make sense, they already had Julen who was doing great enough for them. It is very unlikely that somebody would offer the same for James, they are getting four second round picks and Shamet who would be a good addition to their roster.
Will things be any different for James when he plays for the Wizards or will the struggle continue? We’ll keep you updated.
