The Minnesota Timberwolves center and power forward, Karl Anthony Towns, might get traded this summer. The Timberwolves might have given up on the hopes of winning a title with him, and they are likely to give a shot to their contention with Anthony Edwards.
Karl played only 29 games last season for the Timberwolves and averaged 20.8 points, 4.8 assists, and 8.1 rebounds per game. The expectations were very high from him, and he
could not even give an average performance for the team. The Timberwolves are considering trading him to the Knicks. Here is all the information you need about the trade between the New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves involving Karl Anthony Towns.
What would the Knicks offer for Karl Anthony Towns?
The Knicks might offer Julius Randle, Immanuel Quickley, and one first-round pick each from the years 2026 and 2028 in exchange for Karl Anthony Towns. The Knicks exceeded their expectations last season and made it to the second round. They would be looking forward to replicating and progressing further in the upcoming season. On the other hand, the Timberwolves suffered. They are going to make changes. Is Karl’s departure the change they need?

Why would the Timberwolves trade-off Karl Anthony Towns?
The Timberwolves might have questioned themselves for signing Karl all along his career. He is bad at defending and even though they tried to fix it by landing Rudy Gobert, it did not work. They are supposed to let any of them go, and Gobert would not bring the amount they spent on him. All this sums up to only action, trading off Karl, which would bring two quality players and two draft picks.

Why would the Knicks like to sign Karl Anthony Towns?
The Knicks might face similar issues, which the Timberwolves faced. But it might be possible that they replace Mitchell Robinson with somebody else. Also, they might be considering this deal to fix their offense, Karl can take up the position of Julius, and that might make the Knicks a better team.
Will the Knicks’ risk pay off, or are they going to suffer just like the Timberwolves? We’ll keep you updated.
