Cleveland Cavaliers are having a tough time ever since LeBron James left the team and they may not even reach the playoffs of the NBA 2019-20 season. The Cavs are at 4-9 record and their main star players such as Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson are getting impatient. Everyone knows that the Cavaliers need to go for a full-scale rebuild, but they are too arrogant to listen.

Meanwhile, Kevin Love is playing great and has great stats that can be useful to any of the legitimate contenders out there. Tristan Thompson may also get a chance to sign outside Cleveland and hence the two stars are planning to leave the team. As per the sources, Love and Thompson would like to play for an NBA team that has a realistic chance of contending for the NBA championship title such as Lakers or Clippers.
Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson wants to Play for a Title Contender
The sources close to the stars are saying that they would like to play for such an NBA team which have a realistic chance of winning an NBA title. Kevin Love is 31 years old and Tristan Thompson has crossed 28 and they don’t have many years left as most NBA players retire after the age of 30.
Even though none of them have asked for a trade out, they would gladly accept the first offer to move out of Cleveland Cavaliers. Once Love and Thompson are available in the trade market, which will happen soon, teams such as Lakers, Clippers, Rockets, etc. would surely offer them deals.
Lakers and Clippers can Use Additional Firepower
Kevin Love has an average of 18.2 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists with shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 34.7 percent three-pointers. He can easily fit in any team which has two ball-dominant superstars and the Los Angeles Lakers are an ideal fit. LeBron James and Anthony Davis could surely use another big man and the duo of Love-James have great dynamics.
Meanwhile, Tristan Thompson may not have numbers as good as Love, he could still be a great addition to any team that needs help in their frontcourt and Los Angeles Clippers could use an extra pair of hands which have been against LeBron James. Also, Thompson is in the final year of his contract and hence their won’t be any salary cap issue for the NBA 2020 summer trades.
